“In Tibet, when I was young, we learned others are connected with us, and we must respect others. At the end of the day, we are sharing the sky, the sun, the moon, and the earth together. To be kind and to love unconditionally—everyone.”
Yungchen Lhamo recently joined us for an interview in anticipation of her show here at The Cedar Cultural Center on Saturday, October 12, 2024. She shares with us her personal, resilient and practiced life journey.
The Cedar is honored to welcome back world-renowned, award-winning Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo. Her seventh album, ‘One Drop of Kindness’, was released in September 2023 by Peter Gabriel’s Real World Records and has recently been voted the Winner in the Asia & Pacific category in the Songlines Music Awards 2024. Yungchen originally performed here in 1998 and we are delighted to witness her moving performance again, during our 35th Anniversary year.
