Website Accessibility Policy
At The Cedar, it’s important to us that our website be accessible to everyone regardless of their disability. Your ability to access all the information on our website in a comfortable manner is important to us. We are always open to your experiences and ideas and want to be available to you if you are having difficulty with website access. In such instances, please feel free to contact Access Coordinator MJ Gilmore at mjgilmore@thecedar.org or 612-338-2674.
Seating Requests
Whether set up for a seated or standing show, The Cedar’s performance space is always accessible to patrons who require special seating accommodations.
Seated Shows:
All our seated shows have general admission, first-come-first-served seating. We are happy to reserve seats and spaces for patrons who are in wheelchairs or who require special seating accommodations.
Standing Shows:
During standing shows, The Cedar always sets aside a section of seats and spaces to the right of the stage for patrons who are in wheelchairs or who require special seating accommodations. We are happy to reserve these for you in advance of a show.
How to request reserved seating:
To ensure that we're able to best accommodate your seating request, we encourage patrons to contact the box office by calling 612-338-2674 or emailing info@thecedar.org at least 24 hours in advance of a show.

Increased Ventilation
In 2021 The Cedar updated the HVAC in our concert hall which now runs on a much higher cycle to transfer and replace air and has bipolar ionization. Bipolar ionization is a system that cleans the air and helps remove viruses including SARS-2-CoV, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Assistive Listening
With support from VSA Minnesota, The Cedar is pleased to offer patrons the use of our Assistive Listening System.
How does the Assistive Listening System Work?
The system consists of a wireless transmitter and wireless receivers with a choice of headphones, earbuds, or neck loop.
There are 20 wireless devices available for usage.
How do I request an assistive Listening device?
If you’re interested in using an assistive listening device, we recommend that you request a device by contacting the box office via phone at 612-338-2674 or emailing info@thecedar.org at least 24 hours in advance of a show.
If you’re interested in using an assistive device on the day of a show, speak to a Cedar house manager once you arrive. The house manager will provide you with a wireless device with assistance from an on-site sound technician.
