ACCESSIBILITY

Is the Cedar wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The Cedar’s property is entirely on the ground level. There is a single-unit, all-gender, ADA accessible restroom to accommodate patrons of all needs.

Do you offer seating for people with disabilities?

Yes! Whether set up for a seated or standing show, The Cedar’s performance space is always accessible to patrons who require special seating accommodations.

SEATED SHOWS: All our seated shows have general admission, first-come-first-served seating. We are happy to reserve seats and spaces for patrons who are in wheelchairs or who require special seating accommodations.

STANDING SHOWS: During standing shows, The Cedar always sets aside a section of seats and spaces to the left of the stage for patrons who are in wheelchairs or who require special seating accommodations. We are happy to reserve these for you in advance of a show.

HOW TO REQUEST RESERVED SEATING: To ensure that we're able to best accommodate your seating request, we encourage patrons to contact the box office by calling 612-338-2674 or emailing info@thecedar.org at least 24 hours in advance of a show.

SHOWS

What time do doors open for my show?

Doors are normally at 7:00pm, with bands starting either 30 minutes or 1 hour after door time. Check the online event page for exact information.

When do shows start?

The show times we list are very close to actual start times. You can expect shows to start within 5 or 10 minutes of the listed show time, barring occasional delays.

What does “standing show” mean?

"Standing show" means that this is a show with an open floor (no seats). However, The Cedar always reserves a section of seats for patrons who require special seating accommodations. To request seating or other access accommodations, please go to our Access page.

We're often asked how The Cedar decides if a show should be seated or standing. The answer is that it is entirely driven by the artist(s) or their representative. Some music is meant for dancing, and some artists simply prefer the energy of a standing crowd, or the ambience of a seated room. In many cases, an artist would simply play at a different venue if The Cedar did not offer the option of a seated show or a standing show. Either way, the decision is made when the show is booked, and clearly identified before tickets are put on sale.

What does “seated show” mean?

"Seated Show" mean that this is a show with general admission seating. We recommend showing up to shows around the door time if you have a seating preference, as the seating is first come, first served. The Cedar is happy to reserve seats for patrons who require special seating accommodations. To request seating or other access accommodations, please go to our Access page.

Can I bring my children to an event?

Yes! Children are welcome at all Cedar events. Some events are more suitable for children than others, and we do ask that you supervise your children at all times.

What is the policy for photography at the Cedar?

Our policy is that flash photography is NEVER permitted in the venue. Non-flash photography is permitted at most shows, at the discretion of the artist performing. Please check in with The Cedar staff that night to confirm, and please be respectful of other members of the audience.

How about videotaping shows?

Taping is not allowed, unless permission has been obtained from the artist.

Do you allow re-entry?

Yes, as long as you've gotten a Cedar stamp on your wrist when entering the venue, we permit re entry to shows. Feel free to run and plug your meter!

Is there a coat check?

We do not have a coat check at The Cedar. We do offer a self-service coat rack next to the merch table in our hall. Please note that The Cedar is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Can I bring my bag to a show?

Yes, bags are allowed at The Cedar. Please note that The Cedar is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
