VOLUNTEER
As a non-profit organization, volunteers are crucial to keeping the Cedar running. At each event, as many as 20 volunteers perform a variety of tasks such as setting up the theater before shows, selling tickets, serving concessions, staffing the merchandise table, and cleaning up the theater after shows. And they also have a lot of fun!

Perks of Volunteering
Volunteers are often able to hear some or even all of the performance for an event they work, and they also earn credit towards free passes good for future shows (8 hours of credit earns 1 pass; some shifts earn double credit). We provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment working alongside music fans of all ages from diverse backgrounds.
Volunteer requirements
Due to safety and because typical shifts are customer facing, volunteers must have the ability to see and hear. Many roles may also require speech and the ability to communicate in English. Some shifts will involve some physical exertion, requiring the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Additionally, money handling roles require basic math skills, and some retail experience.
Getting Started
Every Cedar volunteer must attend a Volunteer Orientation session before they can volunteer. It is held at the Cedar and lasts about 90 minutes. After the orientation you will begin receiving opportunities by email to sign up for shifts at upcoming shows.
