ABOUT THIS SHOW
As part of the larger Imagine Cedarfest, Summer Cypher and The Cedar are excited to welcome you to the third annual outdoor celebration of hip-hop culture in all its facets of music, dance, graffiti, DJing, and MCing. Returning to the neighborhood where the genesis of Summer Cypher took place, there will be music flowing throughout the day, breakers and hip-hop dancers, as well as live spray painting, and a variety of vendors to check out. Come on out to The Cedar plaza for a low-key, easy time and catch artist performances and live painting; grab some merch, food, and drinks from The Cedar and local small businesses; and connect with each other around a love for hip-hop.
This event is part of Imagine Cedarfest.
CEDAR CYPHER
Summer Cypher creates authentic Hip-hop spaces where people in community immerse themselves into a process of self-exploration, and critical reflection, within the raw elements of Hip-hop. Self exploration and having a critical analysis of the world and its impact on oneself, is a major part of the process of mastering any aspect of Hip-hop (Dance, Graffiti, Djing, MCing, History/Philosophy).
