@The Cedar mid-July: Ani DiFranco, Magnetic Fields, Josh Rouse, Willy Porter, Crooked Still, Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka, Martins

Welcome to the mid-July edition of @TheCedar! A terrific line-up of acts are being booked for The Cedar's 20th season, which we'll be kicking off on September 4 with a special event (mark your calendars now, and watch this space and the Cedar website for more details nearer the time!).

Tickets go on sale this weekend for some of the best fall acts, including Ani DiFranco, The Magnetic Fields, Crooked Still, Willy Porter with Natalia Zukerman, Josh Rouse and the Red House Records 25th Anniversary Grand Finale Concert with John Gorka, Eliza Gilkyson and Cliff Eberhardt--see below for more details.

Don't forget that even before the fall season arrives, and coming up fast on August 6, Malian World music superstar Habib Koité will be performing a special show at The Cedar with his long-time backing group Bamada. Habib descends from a line of griots, traditional troubadours who provide wit, wisdom and entertainment and his charisma and magnetism translates across cultures in a way few others have achieved. Limited seating means there'll be plenty of room to move to the music. Believe me, you'll want to!

Many fall shows have already gone on sale, with big sellers including Punch Brothers featuring Chris Thile (Nickel Creek), Ralph's World family concert, Balkan Beat Box, Dougie MacLean, and Nordic Roots Festival passes (discounted price of $99 only until August 1). Check out the entire calendar for details!

Here are the latest shows to go on sale today and over the next few days, please enjoy:
