Welcome to the mid-August edition of @The Cedar! Even as we build up towards the free season opener with Kevin Kling, Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles, and Orange Mighty Trio (9/4) and the opening weekend shows by Punch Brothers featuring Chris Thile (9/5), powerhouse Irish roots rocker Damien Dempsey with The Sweet Colleens ((9/5), and the Bill Kubeczko Appreciation Concert with Eight Head, Ruth MacKenzie and Sowah Mensah (9/6), lots of other things are happening at The Cedar: over 80 shows will be ticketed and on sale by 2pm 8/22; a massive record and book show takes place this weekend (8/22--8/24), and we continue to make radical improvements to the facility as we prepare for refinishing of the dance floor in the main room.

Sun 9/7 Bill Kubeczko Appreciation Concert with Eight Head and guests Ruth MacKenzie and Sowah Mensah

September kicks off our “Light the Marquee” fundraising campaign
September 4th will kick-off our “Light the Marquee” campaign, which will fund the long-awaited renovation to The Cedar’s historic marquee. The Cedar is a 501c3 non-profit organization and depends on the generous support of our community members: hundreds show their appreciation for and commitment to The Cedar every year by donating anywhere from $10 to $10,000 – and every donation matters.
Your dollars to The Cedar will go even further this year - Besides funding the marquee renovation, your donations will help us present special, free events to celebrate our 20th season anniversary, implement new programs such as Cedar Family and the 416 Club, and execute capital improvements such as an all-new sound system and renovations to the outdoor patio. Together, we can build The Cedar into an unmistakable touchstone of international culture and performing arts. Donate today at www.thecedar.org/donate
